In This Episode of "You Probably Should've Thought About..."

I think one of our "mistakes" so far is not mapping furniture layout in rooms before finalizing the house floorplan.  I think we were more focused on room size and location, that we didn't really sit down and plan how pieces would fit and to allow for adequate traffic flow, etc.  Thankfully, a lot of these issues we're discovering can be resolved since interior framing has not begun... and, it will only involve 1 or 2 small, non-loadbearing partitions.

Here are some of the room layouts we're considering.  The only new furniture we are buying is for the Great Room; in our old house, most of the furniture was against the wall, but in the new house, everything will be "floating" in the center.  Plus, there are 2 focal points to consider, because we are not mounting the TV above the fireplace.  We will use our older pieces in our Master Bedroom and the School Room.
