The Memories of Memorial Days past...

The twins are almost 3 months old, and it's Memorial Day weekend.  It's so funny to think that 6 years ago, I was on my way to Destin, FL with a bunch of NPCC singles for a weekend of fun.  5 years ago, I was on the same trip, except with a new boyfriend and an impending first kiss on that beach.  4 years ago, we returned for the last time with our friends before our June 12 wedding.  There's no way either of us could've predicted where we'd end up just 4 short years later.

They are growing so much and learning new things.  It's so nice to see their smiles and know they see us and love us!

But this Memorial Day weekend, it's just us... no beach trip this year.  We'll be at home, doctoring 4 stuffy and runny noses, washing laundry, cleaning house, and doing what's become the "new normal" ever since the twins arrived.  And I'm in no way resentful or ungrateful for that, especially with 2 sets of bright blue eyes staring at me as I type... sooo precious!  Those eyes signal my departure for now...
