Yard Work
As expected, there is a lot of work involved to clear the yard space around the house. We don't intend to clear all 4.3 acres, but there is a significant amount of underbrush and vines around the house site and near the creek. We spent a Saturday afternoon cutting down some poplar saplings:
...dismantling the former landowner's "sweat lodge"; aka, hauling loads of nasty, smelly, blankets and tarps:
... and, finally, digging up sheets of plywood that we think were used to dam up the spring:
We found a friend hiding in the water!
